Bollywood celebrities stepped out in their finest to attend Akash Ambani and Shloka Mehta's wedding, which is touted to be one of the most high profile events of 2019. Shah Rukh Khan, Ranbir Kapoor and Karan Johar, who were among the early arrivals at the Ambani-Mehta wedding, shook a leg in the baaraat procession along with groom Akash and his mother Nita Ambani. Shah Rukh, who looked dapper in a white Manish Malhotra sherwaani, matched steps with Nita Ambani. Akash's sister Isha, who married Anand Piramal in December 2018, also took part in the baaraat along with her younger brother Anant and father Mukesh Ambani.

Akash Ambani and Shloka Mehta, whose wedding in Mumbai was the most-talked-about over the weekend, exchanged vows in a glittering ceremony that looked straight out of a Bollywood set. The 28-year-olds, who studied together at the school run by the Ambani family, promised to respect and cherish each other. "We will respect, cherish each other. Feelings and fulfill the responsibilities of married life with honour," Akash Ambani, son of billionaire Mukesh Ambani, read out. The wedding - that saw Bollywood celebrities, company executives, politicians and sports personalities - took place at newly constructed Jio World Centre in the Bandra Kurla Complex.

Nita Ambani stole the show at her elder son Akash's lavish post-wedding wedding celebration in Mumbai with a graceful dance performance to Krishna bhajan Achyutam Keshavam. Nita Ambani's performance looked straight out of a Bollywood magnum opus, with dancers in the background, lights and breathtaking fountains. She was dressed in a pretty fuchsia pink outfit. As her performance ended, husband Mukesh Ambani got up from the seat and clapped.
